Advance Wars (2001, Game Boy Advance) is a tactical published by Intelligent Systems / Nintendo. Turn-based strategy on GBA. COs with unique powers, map editor, and addictive multiplayer. Easy to learn, impossible to master.
Most GBA cores boot without a BIOS. gba_bios.bin is optional and fixes a few intro glitches. The game still needs to be a dump of a cartridge you own.
COs and funds are the save. States are useful on the last enemy turn, not as a substitute for the in-game suspend.
